A press release or a news release is a public relation tool provide an official statement or an announcement that is made to use suggestions to journalists, editor, bloggers, or other thought leaders. It also covers past topics to create publicity. It is a very cost-effective way of building awareness about the product. It has more credibility than paid advertising because they are regarded as news and are often delivered by means of a third party that is a newspaper, creating the impression of an endorsement. A press release contains the following items:-

1.       Headline: It provides a headline and if needed then also give a sub-headline.

2.       Dateline: Mention the date, month, and year of publishing the press release.

3.       Introduction: Brief and useful information about your organization, its core business, function and organization.

How to format a Press release

1.       The total length should be under 2 pages, ideally 400-500 words

2.       Avoid using “I, “We”, or “You”.

3.       Times New Roman or Calibri font should be used.

4.       Bolded, larger headline.

5.       Single spaced body text, with one line of space between paragraphs.
